Snowday

By Jonathan Wyatt     On 30 January 2010     At 7:57 PM

Overnight here in the triangle we got some snow, for us in Cary, it was about 3.5 inches. With all that snow and freezing rain, it is impossible to go anywhere so today was a snowday. Noah got to play with a gingerbread house that Kelly had made...

After we got him all "sugared" up we were ready to get him dressed for the cold weather - wind chill of like 10...

Once outside he really liked being in the snow, he was a little hesitant at first but *warmed* up to it...

Once done playing in the snow it was time to come inside  and play with his color wheel, a little painting toy that spins around...

We took it easy for the rest of the night with our spaghetti dinner and TV. Now it is time for the adults to watch and movie and relax the rest of the evening...

A Fun Time @ Marbles

By Jonathan Wyatt     On 28 January 2010     At 9:23 PM

Kelly took the boys over to the Marbles museum yesterday with a couple of friends and their kids and had a great time. Here are some pictures of their adventure...

Nothing much going on other than that except for the "wintry weather" we are expecting to get over the weekend, but we will see about that...

Back In Business

By Jonathan Wyatt     On 25 January 2010     At 9:54 PM

We had a crazy time yesterday at the 50% off day at the Kid's Exchange sale...

We got Noah some really great toys for cheap and Ezra some new clothes for little of nothing. Here is Noah with his new toys...

Since the window was shattered from the breakin, I had to rig it to combat the storms that we had last night, there was heavy rain - not cool when you are missing a driver's side window!

The auto glass guy came today to replace the window, he was from Prestige Auto Glass and he did a really good job, it took about 2 hours to get all the old window pieces vaccuumed out and the new window in.

Even though this bad thing happened, it was good that our insurance company, State Farm, covered the cost of the new window so we had to pay nothing out of pocket!

A Whole Day With Friends

By Jonathan Wyatt     On 24 January 2010     At 7:56 AM

Yesterday was the Kids Exchange in Raleigh, where you can buy used kid's stuff ranging from toys to clothes to furniture. Whilst we were there we ran into our friend Sheri and her daughter Morgan, one of Noah's good friends.

After the show we decided to have the kids come back to our house to play, and man do they have a great time together.

Going back to the show today since everything is 50% off, excited to see what good deals we can get!

Mike's Going Away / Birthday Party

By Jonathan Wyatt     On 23 January 2010     At 8:43 AM

Kelly and I went out last night to wish our friend Mike and fond farewell and just so happens it is his birthday too! We went to eat with our friends at Mez in Morrisville and had a great time.

We did run into bit of a snag about halfway through the dinner, our car was the victim of a break-in and lucky us, we got the driver's side window shattered and our GPS was stolen!

Going to be working this weekend to get that window replaced...

A Mouse In The House

By Jonathan Wyatt     On 21 January 2010     At 9:09 PM

This morning as we were getting the kids ready to head off to take me to work, something scurried by my leg along side the wall and into the closet. I was like, was that a mouse? So I opened the door and didn't see anything, I guess he had got away...for now...Later on, about 15 minutes, I saw him next to the sofa trying to "dig" through the wall to try and escape, I inched closer and he ran behind the sofa. Just then, I proceeded to get my mouse traps and set them up on either side of the sofa to hopefully catch the little guy. No time to wait out the traps so we went onto work. When Kelly got home from the gym, she had noticed something, the mouse was no match for the traps and was busted, so for now...a mouse is not in the house...

Grownup Getaway

By Jonathan Wyatt     On 18 January 2010     At 10:42 AM

So last night, Kelly and I got to go out to dinner with one of her friends and some people from Meetup. It was really nice to go out without the boys and have a grownup time. Here is a shot of us looking all nice:

The weekends just really aren't long enough but we did manage to get some cute pictures of the boys:

What A Fun Day!

By Jonathan Wyatt     On 16 January 2010     At 8:54 PM

Today was such a fun day! We went to Frankie's, which is a place that has video games, putt-putt, go karts, and a couple rides. Noah hasn't even been there before (since out of the infancy age) so he was totally blown away! We were a little scared that once we walked through the doors that his head might explode with excitement! Here are some shots of the time that we had:

The crash...

After Noah's nap, his friend, Tyler (8), came over to play and have dinner, which wore him out this evening and got him into bed pretty easily. He is growing soo much and trying to talk our ears off and tell us what he wants, it is awesome! Tomorrow is going to be an equally busy day with church, gym and an adult dinner with friends in the evening. That is about it for now, man the weekend just doesn't last long enough!
